Our service and our independence
Psych Preceptors is an independent service that helps Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students find and secure qualified preceptors and approved clinical sites across the psychiatric lifespan. We source, vet, and prepare placements for your program's approval.
We are not a university and we are not a certification body. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any university, the ANCC, AANPCB, or any accreditor, and we do not act as an agent for any of them. References to the PMHNP credential, education recommendations, certification bodies, and program requirements are for identification and descriptive purposes only and do not imply any relationship. Program details can change; the authoritative source for your requirements is your own program and its faculty.
What we do not guarantee
We work hard to secure approvable preceptors and sites, but there are important limits on what we can promise, and we want them stated clearly:
- We do not approve placements. Final approval of any site or preceptor rests solely with your university and program faculty.
- We do not guarantee a specific preceptor, site, hours, certification, licensure, or program outcomes. Declines and delays are part of any real placement search.
- Nothing we offer is a tuition refund or money-back guarantee of any kind, and we make no promise about your academic results.
- Program and standards information is provided as-is for general guidance, and you are responsible for confirming your specific requirements with your program.
Our fee, described on the cost page, is for our sourcing, vetting, and approval-preparation work. It is never a payment to a preceptor, and you pay only once a preceptor and clinical site are confirmed.
Use of the site and contact
You agree to use this site lawfully and to provide accurate information when you contact us. The content here is for general informational purposes and is not legal, medical, or academic advice. We may update these terms or the site's content from time to time, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
